The general manager of Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL, has signed a partnership agreement with FECAFOOT which will see them act as main sponsors of the 2023 veteran football competition. The competition is Christianed "Championnat National des Corpos et Veterans." the sponsorship is valid for one year, with the possibility of extending for another two years.

The Partnership with Camtel involves financial input, electronic gadgets, and communication services to participating teams.
It should be noted that CAMTEL is making its grand entry as a football sponsor in Cameroon after its involvement in other sports, notably Volleyball, golf, and athletics. A venture which left CAMTEL's general manager Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi very proud and satisfied.
CAMTEL is the latest addition to the growing list of Private and Public enterprises venturing into Cameroonian football since the Eto'o-led Executive committee took over the reins of FECAFOOT. They join the likes of Union Bank for Africa, Guinness Cameroon SA, and long-standing partner MTN Cameroon.
What is the "Championnat National des Corpos et Veterans."?
The "Championnat National des Corpos et Veterans is a Veteran football competition that involves football lovers from private and Public enterprises, professional Syndicates, and Associations with the aim of promoting healthy living while encouraging the spirit of fair play, teamwork, and psychological well-being of people who are 35 years and above.
The 2023 edition of the competition took off last Saturday, April 15th, at the Mbappe Leppe stadium in Douala, where the Association of banking enterprises (AFA) beat the Association of Petroleum Workers (ASCIP) 3-0.
The game was played in the presence of Roger Nyassa Nyassa, President of the National Veterans Commission and a FECAFOOT executive member.
