RANGERS FC Bafut Unveil New Coaching Staff

Rangers FC Bafut has appointed Nguepkep Sylvanus to oversee the activities of the team, as preparations for the upcoming Elite 2 season intensify.

RANGERS FC Bafut Unveil New Coaching Staff

Coach Nguepkep was unveiled as new Rangers head coach in a press conference that held on August 10th, 2023 at the club's headquarters in Bamenda. 

The presentation which was chaired by Rangers interim President,  Che Eugene also saw the unveiling of Tama Wango as Sporting director.

Head Coach Nguepkep Sylvanus has a very rich coaching career spanning over two decades which has seen him manage the likes of Union de Douala and Tonnerre Kalara Club of Yaounde amongst others.

In fact, the tactician has been involved with no less than ten renowned clubs in Cameroon with Panther du Nde being the most recent (2021 to 2022)

Nguepkep is holder of the Federal A coaching license since 1998. 

The tactician has also coached Stade Abong Mbang, Leopard de Douala and Oryx Douala. 

Coach Nguepkep Sylvanos will be closely assisted by  Tabod Tachick, a strong contributor to the teams' success last season. Tabod will act as a physical trainer and coach of the U17 category of Rangers FC Bafut. 

Other Staff members who were unveiled are: 

  • Assistant Coach for U15 and Female team 
  •  Goalkeeper Trainer: Didemus Shiynsa 
  • Physiotherapist: Amungwa Jervis 
  • Administrator: Mofor Stephen 
  • Sporting Director: Tama Wango 
  • Press officer: Neba Jerome 

The Interim president Che Eugene welcomed the new head Coach, assured him of full support from the management, and called on them to produce the best results for the club this season as Rangers push for promotion to the MTN ELITE ONE Championship. 

The new headcoach said he "has come to win with Rangers, and did not come to Bamenda on a pleasure trip" 

The management has called on some shortlisted players who will join the team as their recruitment plans for the 2023/24 season intensify. 

New players are expected to integrate the team as they look to improve on the 7th place finish in the MTN ELITE TWO championship last season.
