The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has slammed FECAFOOT with a 5000 Suisse Francs (3,418,249.90 Francs) fine as a settlement in the litigation between the federation and dismissed executive committee members Guibai Gatama, Issa Bassoro, Aboubakar Alim amongst others.

The Court of Arbitration For Sports (CAS) Sanctions FECAFOOT, Reverses Several Key Decisions
The decision was contained in a communique signed on August 15th, 2023, by members of a commission headed by Jacques Radoux.
In the same communique, several punitive and disciplinary decisions taken by FECAFOOT in their General Assembly on August 22nd, 2022, were declared null, void, and inconsequential.
Some of the decisions contained in the CAS communique are listed below:
- Guibai Gatama, who before the August 22nd,2022 suspension was FECAFOOT executive committee representing the Far North Regional Football League, has been reinstated by CAS as a FECAFOOT executive committee member.
- The Professional Football League of Cameroon (LFPC), suspended by the executive committee of FECAFOOT, has been reinstated to run the affairs of the professional Leagues in Cameroon.
- KOEDEM, President of the Western Regional League, ousted by the executive Committee of FECAFOOT, reinstated.
- Magistrate Gilbert Schlick was reinstated as Head of the FECAFOOT Electoral Commission by CAS
- Mr. ACHET was reinstated as Chairman of the FECAFOOT Appeals Committee by CAS.
- FECAFOOT ordered to pay 5000 Swiss Francs to Guibai Gatama and Co.
