Chelsea has completed a deal to transfer Cameroonian Midfielder Ben Elliott permanently to third-tier English football team Reading FC on a three-year contract.

The transfer was confirmed by both teams to end the 12-year career of Eliott at Stamford Bridge and start a new chapter at The Royals with Coach Rubén Sellés. 

The 20-year old midfielder started his football journey at the age of eight when he joined Chelsea and signed his first pro deal at Stamford Bridge in 2019.

The Youngster represented Chelsea at the U21 EFL Trophy against Exeter City in 2021. He equally joined the senior squad during the warm-weather camp in Abu Dhabi to train, during the world cup break in 2022. 

Elliott is an ex-England youth International, but opted to represent Cameroon, the land of his Father at senior level.

He made his International debut for the indomitable Lions of Cameroon in a 2-2 friendly encounter against Mexico, coming on for Bryan Mbuemo in the 87th minute.

With Reading FC currently Ninth in League One, the former Chelsea Midfielder will join Rubén Sellés' roster as the team aims to step up in the 2023/24 season.
