Ben Elliott Celebrates Cameroon National Team Call

Born to a Cameroonian father and a British mother, the young Chelsea midfielder did not hesitate when the opportunity to wear the green, red, and yellow jersey came calling.

“I received the call from coach [Rigobert Song] who asked me if I want to play for Cameroon. I was happy; it was an easy decision for me. I said yes, and that’s how I knew I had to play for Cameroon,” he told Fecafoot TV.

The 20-year-old remembers every moment spent in the den during the March international window. Although he could not play against Namibia (March 24 and 28), the London native remembers an unforgettable experience.

“My first stay in Cameroon went well. I was happy to learn. The training has been excellent. Everyone welcomed me, the players, and the staff. Here, people are really passionate about football. I love the team atmosphere…” he said.

The nugget hopes to have the chance to participate in other internships with the national selection of Cameroon.
