Guy-Marcelin Kilama has signed a 5-year contract, as center back for Turkish Club Hatayspor.

Transfer News: Center-back Guy-Marcelin Kilama signs for Turkish Super Lig side Hatayspor 

The 24 year Old defender was born and raised in Douala Cameroon where he started his football career at the Ecole De Football Des Brasseries Du Cameroon(EFBC) learning his trade between 2014 and 2018. 

In 2018, he left Cameroon and signed for Chamois Niort FC in France where he played 93 times for the French club before accepting to move to Turkey. 

Kilama was part of the Cameroon squad that took part in the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The former Niort man can play as a left or right sided center back as well as a defensive midfielder. Kilama has also been used as a right back in the past.

It is this versatility that convinced the Turkish side to pay for his services. 

The defender made his debut for Hatayspor against Pendikspor in a Turkish Super League encounter and contributed to a 5-1 victory for his team, playing the full 90 minutes.

The new challenge will be an opportunity for Guy-Marcelin Kilama to show what he can do on the big stage as he looks to bigger and better things in Europe.

Kilama and Hatayspor will be looking to build on their bright start to the campaign when the welcome Kasimpasa in round two of the Turkish Super Lig.
