Bell was born in Hanau, Germany, and started his youth career at FC Kaiserslautern before moving to Mainz 05 II.

He has also played for Frankfurt (2017 to 2018), where he made 33 appearances and scored 8 goals.

What is Leon Bell Bell's Style of Play?

Leon Bell Bell plays principally as a left-back but can also play as a left midfielder or left winger; he's fast, solid in defending, and can deliver a good cross.

His versatility could make him a precious weapon in Rigobert Song's team, where creativity is usually lacking, especially against teams that play with a low block.

Bell has appeared in all 12 league games for Magdeburg this season, with one goal and one assist to his credit.

His call-up to the National team, two months before the African Nations Cup, provides excellent competition for the left side of Cemeroon's defense, with Nohou Tolo and Yvan Yongwa giving alternative options for coach Rigobert Song.

It will not be the first time Leon Bell is donning the colors Cameroon, having appeared in an under-23 friendly game between Cameroon and France, a 3-1 defeat of Cameroon in 2017.

Cameroon faces Mauritius Island on November 17th, 2023, before traveling to Benghazi to meet Libya on November 21st.

The two games are the first two qualification games for the 2026 World Cup

Cameroon was drawn in Group D. The other Group D opponents are Estwani, Angola, and Cape Verde.
