The Stade Rennes defender's third matchday AFCON qualifying match was cut short after he collapsed to the ground without making contact, and he was substituted a minute before halftime.
Nkoulou took the position of Cameroon number 4, and after the game, reports said he was in the hospital's intensive care unit.
Wooh was born in France but chose to play senior international football for Cameroon.
He participated in the 2022 FIFA World Cup team for his nation and was present when Cameroon defeated Brazil 1-0.
