Olivier Kemen is a Cameroonian professional football player. After representing France at all youth levels, the Douala – born Olivier opted to represent the Cameroon senior football team, the indomitable Lions. 

He is currently on the books of Kayserispor in the Turkey Superlig, a club He joined in the summer of 2021.

What Happened on his Cameroon Debut?

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon coach Rigobert Song first called up the 26-year-old Olivier Kemen in a 34-man shortlist ahead of the first round of AFCON qualifiers in June 2022. 

But Kemen will have to wait until the 24th of March 2023 for his Cameroon debut in an AFCON qualifier against Namibia. 


What Happened on his Cameroon Debut?

He put up a sterling performance in the center of the park scoring Cameroon’s only goal in a 1-1 draw after a well-taken free kick from Kounde Malong in the 73rd minute. 

He was voted Man of the Match after an intense and passionate display in front of home fans.

Which Clubs has Kemen Played For?

Kemen was born in Douala-Cameroon but moved to France at an early age. He started his formative years at AF Colombe and graduated at Metz. 

However, he signed his first professional contract at Newcastle United, where he spent two unsuccessful years. He then moved to Lyon, where he registered just four appearances. 


Which Clubs has Kemen Played For?

Kemen will eventually move to Turkey after five solid seasons in France’s 2nd tier, first on loan at Ajaccio, then a permanent move to Niort, where he amassed 62 appearances, scoring six goals and three assists in two seasons.
