Etta Bawak referred to being called up to the national squad of Cameroon as a dream come true. When questioned during their training session at the Ngoa Ekelle stadium, the fullback stated, “It’s an opportunity for me once more to exhibit my talent.”

” Playing with the national team has always been my ambition. We’re here to learn, and we hope that we’re going to blend with the professionals and have a great game.

“Before coming here, the coach (Rigobert Song) told us that we’re here for serious business and that it depends on us if we want to participate in the AFCON. I’m very focused on that and know what is ahead,” he added.

The PWD fullback is one of two domestic players recently called up by the Indomitable Lions Coach to substitute for Fai Collins and Choupo Moting, who were injured and unable to play for Cameroon in their doubleheader against Namibia.

The former cotonsport player, who represented Cameroon in two CHAN tournaments, was preselected for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup but didn’t make the final roster.
