A communique signed by Samuel Eto'o Fils, President of FECAFOOT, states that this provision which has existed in the federation's texts for 10 years, had never been implemented.

It is, therefore, the first time in the history of Cameroonian football that amateur and training clubs are receiving this payment by bank transfer. "In fact, the compensation amounts were taken directly from the SUPPORT granted by the federation to professional clubs," the communique stated. It should be recalled that FECAFOOT supports professional clubs in Cameroon with a subvention of forty-six million Francs each every season.
