PWD Bamenda boosted their survival chances with a big Win over fellow relegation strugglers Avion Academy last Saturday in Mbouda. The match counted as a Day-16 game in the 2022/23 MTN ELITE ONE CHAMPIONSHIP.
PWD Bamenda Registers Big Win to Boost Survival Chances
The 4-nil drubbing of Avion Academy is a big step towards maintaining its status as an Elite One Club. Goals from Ateba Leonel, Eta Bawak, Ndiforchu Blaise, and Febe Fritz gave the Abakwa Boyz the all-important three points. New head coach Bep Constatine has now overseen two wins and draws in their last four games.
The win places PWD in the 7th spot in Group B, three points above the relegation zone, with three games to go.
What's Next for PWD?
The Abakwa Boyz will hope to maintain this rich vein of form as the next two games will be against Play-off candidates Canon of Yaounde and defending champions Coton Sport of Garoua before rounding off the season with a potential decider against Rennaissance De Ngomou on April 23rd.
