Eding Sport De la Lekie will face Yong Sports Academy in a decisive playoff game on Friday, 19th May 2023. The relegation battle will be a one-off, knock-out Styled game, with the victorious team maintaining ELITE ONE Status while the losing team will be relegated to ELITE TWO.
RELEGATION PLAYOFF: EDING and YOSA Face-Off In Decisive Match
The winner-takes-all game will be played at the Douala Bonamoussadi Stadium from 3:30pm. Eding de La Lekie and Yong Sports Academy both finished 9th during the regular ELITE ONE in groups A and B, respectively.

The playoff game was initially programmed to be between YOSA and Djiko FC but a ruling from the Conciliation Committee of the Transitional Council for Professional Football in the litigation between Avion Academy and UMS of Loum awarded the disputed three points to Avion Academy,
This ruling elevates Avion Academy to 5th, causing Eding to drop to the 9th spot, thus relegating Djiko FC and Rennaissance of Ngoumou to the MTN ELITE TWO Championship.
Supporters of both Clubs will be cheering on their respective teams in Douala, which was selected as a neutral grown for this crucial match. Good luck to the players and Staff of both sets of Teams.
