The communique signed by the FECAFOOT Secretary-General also carried the minimum authorized salary for MTN ELITE TWO Coaches and is effective immediately.

The release also reinforced the Salary barriers of Players in ELITE ONE, ELITE TWO, and Guinness Super League Clubs.

The Eto'o-led administration has embarked on a series of structural and functional changes in Cameroon football, although these have often met strong resistance and criticisms from major stakeholders in the game, including Club owners.

It should be recalled that Bamboutos of Mbouda, runner-up of last season's MTN ELITE ONE Championship, missed out on participation in CAF continental Competitions due to unpaid Salaries to some staff.

The Coaches will be hoping that Club administrators will adhere to these new directives for the betterment of Cameroonian football.

Below are the details of the communique bearing the minimum wage structure for the 2023/2024 football Season:
  • MTN ELITE ONE COACH : 250 000 FCFA
  • MTN ELITE TWO COACH: 150 000 FCFA
  • MTN ELITE ONE PLAYER: 200 000 FCFA
  • MTN ELITE TWO PLAYER: 75 000 FCFA
  • GUINNESS SUPER LEAGUE PLAYER: 50 000 FCFA
