Ita Mbong of Nkambe and Dja Sports Academy of Meyomessala have gained promotion to the Guinness Super League for the 2023/24 sports Season.

North West Division Two champions Ita Mbong defeated Cyclone FC of Douala 3 - 2 in a pulsating encounter at the Annex 1 of the Yaounde Omnisport Stadium on Sunday, August 27th, 2023. 

The Zionists took the lead early on through Destiny Ade, who would later double the score as the girls from Nkambe went 2 nil up and had control of the game.

The fans of the North West Division two champions were already in celebration mode, but a quickfire double from Djanga Ernestine of Cyclone FC ensured that the encounter went down to the wire.

Shey Blessing settled the game from the spot to send her team into wild celebrations as they sealed a fantastic season with qualification into the big time. 

In the second game, Dja Sports Academy of Meyomessala came from a goal down to beat Lions du Sahel 5-3 and pick the second ticket into the Guinness Super League.

A hat trick from forward Audrey Bayiha ensured the South Regional Champions overcame a lively team from the North after conceding the opening goal.
