The National Football Academy, ANAFOOT has announced the sixth edition of the detection and selection operation of future interns of the institution.
This was made public in a release by the football body.
ANAFOOT Launches Nation wide Scouting Campaign
The sixth edition of the nation wide scout will run from October 8 to October 28 2023 throughout the national territory.
The exercise which will run through the 10 regions of the country will be supervised by experts including former footballers, Indomitable Lions charged with selecting boys and girls from the ages of 8 to 16 amongst the best registered in all 10 regions since August 30 2023.
This scouting process is aimed at encouraging fairness and professionalism.
Interested players will be assessed based on technical , athletic, tactical and psychological capabilities.
Registration after will be headed by heads of regional poles upon presentation of a photocopy of birth certificate .
The trainers are generally coaches from the national and regional sporting institutions.
Created in 2014 to ensure the growth of football in Cameroon, the institution started the annual scouting of young boys and girls in 2018.
The institution has several top players, some of who have gone on to represent several categories of the National football team.
A good number of ANAFOOT products are plying their trade in top ELITE ONE and ELITE TWO Clubs.
