Huracaes of Equatorial Guinea has qualified for the 2023 Edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League after Emerging UNIFFAC Champions following a 5-1 thrashing of AS Epah Ngamba at the Estadio de Malabo on Thursday.

Huracanes Qualify as UNIFFAC representatives For CAF Women's Chapions League

The UNIFFAC qualification tournament went ahead with just three teams after Cameroon’s representatives and 2022 Guinness Super League Champions AS Awa failed to show up for the Sub-Regional Rendez-vous. 

Huracanes FC kicked off the qualification tournament with an impressive 3-2 victory over Congolese giants and 2022 UNIFFAC representatives TP Mazembe.

With their qualification in their own hands, the girls of Coach Rondo Severino made no mistake in the second game, dispatching AS Epah Ngamba of Congo 5-1. 

Elena Olomo was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick against her opponents to take her goal tally to 5 for the tournament.

Michelle Ondze scored a consolation goal with 15 minutes of the game left, but the damage had already been done as Huracanes completed the roaster of the eight-team CAF Women’s Champions League to be held in Cote D’Ivoire from November 5th to 19th, 2023.
