Transfer News: Cameroon Attacker Ignatius Ganago extends to 2027

Cameroonian international attacker Ignatius Kpene Ganago has signed a contract extension with French Club FC Nantes.

The former OGC Nice forward put pen to paper on a contract that will see him stay at the club till the summer of 2027. 

The club shared the news on their social media pages. 

A few hours after the agreement Ignatius posted a video on Twitter applauding his team for the decision and promised to be better for the team this season.

The 24-year-old has played for Olympique Gymnaste Club de Nice and  Racing Club de Lens before joining Football Club de Nantes in 2022. 

Born in Douala, Ganago has been part of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in 2019 and represented the country during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. 

Ganago scored 5 goals in 30 appearances for Nantes last season as the Canaries endured a difficult season only escaping relegation in the last game of the season.

Ganogo and fellow Cameroonian team mate Castelleto will hope for better fortunes this season, they currently sit 15th in the Ligue 1 table with just the two points after 4 games played.
