In the second leg, played at the Cairo International Stadium, Al Ahly dominated the first half, creating many chances that were not taken, as Simba SC opted to sit back and rely on counterattacks.

The second half of the game proved exceedingly challenging for the Tanzanians as the Red Devils of Al Ahly dictated proceedings, but Simba SC kept their tactical discipline.

Simba SC took the lead through Sadio Kanoute in the 68th minute. Still, Al Ahly held on and equalized moments later in the 76th minute through Mahmoud Abdelmonem Kharaba before celebrating their comprehensive victory.
