After winning their first match in Yaoundé against Fauve Azur, in their return to the MTN Elite One, newcomers Victoria United "Opopo" just can't win despite title ambitions.

After being defeated at the Roumde Adja stadium in Garoua by Coton Sport de Garoua (1-0), followed by another loss in a game against Stade Renard de Melong in front of their home crowd, Victoria United "Opopo" were expected to make a strong comeback in their match against Fovu Club de Baham on Wednesday.

The atmosphere was tense as the President of Victoria United, Mr. Nkwain Valentine, stood at a podium before a packed room of journalists and supporters. He had called the press conference to issue a rallying cry to the club's fans, players, and staff ahead of their upcoming match against Fovu Club de Baham. 

With a determined expression, Mr. Nkwain Valentine spoke with conviction, passionately encouraging everyone associated with Victoria United to come together and give their all for the team. He expressed his unwavering belief that Victoria United would emerge victorious in the Cameroon MTN Elite One Championship. 

His words were met with thunderous applause and cheers of support from the crowd, who were clearly inspired by his message.

Unfortunately, Victoria United again fell in a controversial meeting on match day four of the MTN Elite One.

During the game, the referee, Moctar Youssoufa, awarded a penalty in favor of Fovu Club de Baham. However, this decision was controversial and led to a protest from the players of Victoria United. 

As a result, the game was interrupted for approximately 12 minutes due to the actions of the Victoria United players.

After negotiations, the game will resume. Fovu Club de Baham converted the penalty and won 2-1 against Victoria United, who recorded their third consecutive defeat in four matches in Elite One.\
