Ita Mbong of Nkambe cruise to the National Interpools

The last match of the North West Women's Second Division championship wrapped up with Ita Mbong of Nkambe grabbing 3 points from Kumbo Strikers Ladies. 

The Champions of the North  West Regional women's Second Division championship grabbed all three points thanks to a goal from Cindy Brown, taking their goal tally to sixteen goals in the tournament.

Vision Sport, who kicked -off this year's edition of the North West Regional Women's 2nd division tournament on a high note, dropped off after splitting the spoils with Kumbo Striker on Day five of the competition.  

Ita Mbong's 6-2 victory over Abakwa Girls established a 5-point margin between the two teams, crowning them champions. 

Ita Mbong of Nkambe's unbeaten form in this maiden edition of the female championship helped the team secure 16 points from six games, while their counterparts Vision Sports followed with 9.

Ita Mbong FC will face the champions of the West Regional League in the national playoffs to get a promotion to the Cameroon Guinness Super League, while the winner of that encounter will qualify for the semi-finals.

The girls of Coach Shey Renard are expected to maintain their impressive performance at the National Interpools this season to seal their qualification into the Guinness Super League, the finest Women's league in the country.
