Cameroon Cup: MINSEP Announces Cup Final Date

The Finals of the Cameroon Cup will take place on 24 September 2023 at the Amadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé. The decision was made known to the public by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.

The finals to be played between PWD Social Club of Bamenda and FOVU Club of Baham will be an opportunity to seal the 2022/2023 football in Cameroon. 

The fiesta will be played at a time when both teams have lost major players in their teams. PWD's Etta Bawak recently signed for Dynamo FC. 

Fovu Club de Baham's Journey to Finals 

FOVU Club of Baham made their made their fourth appearance at the Cup of Cameroon this season. They successfully defeated Colombe of the Dja and Lobo, Abong Abang FC, Les Astres, Canon of DLA, and Victoria United to arrive at the Finals.

Le Grottoes de Fovu de Baham will be hoping to earn their 3rd Cameroon Cup trophy after their previous victories in 2001 and 2010.

PWD's Journey to Finals

PWD of Bamenda are equally recording their 4th appearance at the Cameroon Cup. They recorded five victories after beating Fauve Azur, AS FAP, Dynamo FC, Djiko FC, and Starde de Bandjoun to get to the finals. 

The Abakwa boys have recorded just a single Cameroon Cup in 2021 after defeating Les Astres in a 1-nail lead.  

PWD's Journey to Finals

Both teams had recorded five meetings, with FOVU winning twice, PWD winning once, and the rest ending in draws. 

The Cup finals will be an opportunity for Cameroonians to revisit Elite football in months at the end of the National Interpools.
